I’m a beginner to webhook and many other things and I couldn’t find a proper tutorial on how to actually get around this plugin’s webhook functionality to post a message to my Discord channel. I’ve set up the webhook on Discord’s end and obtained the link, but I got lost afterwards. So I gave up on that for now and decided to abandon the feature (unless there is actually a tutorial for the free version of the plugin) and delete the plugin. Upon my deletion attempts, an error message appears on top of the plugin page that says Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on your website.Learn more about debugging in WordPress.

    Hello,

As for a Webhook, you may want to use our Discord extension, or you can also see this documentation.

Thank you for reporting the problem with deletion, we are working on it.

    Hi @annaszalkiewicz

As per the title of this support topic, I do not think this issue is actually Resolved as you marked here until the fix is implemented on the next update. The deletion process was interrupted by that error message and I still cannot remove the plugin from the admin dashboard. I’m also unfamiliar with deleting plugins from FTP and not sure if the Notification plugin has written on folders outside of its own.

Is it sufficient to remove only the …/wp-content/plugins/notification folder to manually uninstall?

    Hi,

Yes, you can just remove this folder manually, the plugin does not save any files outside of its directory.

    Sorry for all the inconvenience.
