Error on product page

I have installed wordpress 3.8.3 and wp ecommerce 3.8.13.4. I am using the twentyfourteen theme.

My problem is that when I drill down to product page level I get a page cannot be found message.

The URL being returned is:

mysite/products-page/whirlpool/prod4/

When in fact it should be

mysite/index.php/products-page/whirlpool/prod4/

If I type the second into the address bar the page displays

Do you know what is causing the link to be incorrect and how I can fix it?

I’ve never seen a WordPress site using index.php in the permalinks.

Check the trouble-shooting tips at the Permalinks page.

If your permalinks don’t work without index.php in them (AKA “Almost Pretty” permalinks) then you may need to work with your host to resolve the issue.

lambertini we had a look into this further and can confirm there is something peculiar happening with permalinks and the use of index.php

We will look into this as quickly as possible. I have submitted an issue and you can follow up with it’s progress here https://github.com/wp-e-commerce/WP-e-Commerce/issues/1126

Hi lambertini,

The fix for this will be in the upcoming 3.8.14 release.

In the meantime, if you’d like to port over the code that fixes it, you can look at this commit on GitHub

Fixed. If you would like to take advantage of the fix prior to it’s release.

You will need to replace product.php found in the following path
wpsc-components/theme-engine-v1/helpers/product.php

With the code found here
