  • I had the same problem, just seemed to fix it. I am not sure which action fixed it, but I did 2 things:

    1. Updated all the WooCommerce plugins
    2. I went in and erased the “$” in my title, because I thought maybe it was causing the issue, then when I scrolled down, where the errors used to be listed, I was able to name the free shipping class – where it previously was automatically naming it “illegal string offset”.

Now everything works perfectly. Hope you get your site working properly! And maybe support will weigh in on this at some point to confirm what the issue was.

    Hi

In the shipping settings you can remove those texts from the settings fields and it will save property and remove those errors. Its something I forgot with the last update – but will be in the next update to be fixed.

    Hi.

I have come across an error since I updated my website. It’s now running on WP 5.0.5 with Woocommerce version 3.5.3, and Woocommerce Advanced Shipping version 1.0.9. I now see the following error in my debug log:

[20-Jan-2019 17:10:01 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: [] operator not supported for strings in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-advanced-shipping/includes/class-was-method.php:93

It results in the checkout and product pages breaking unless I deacxtivate the Advanced Shipping plugin. Please can you let me know if there is a fix for this problem?

    Kindest regards,

    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

The plugin you’re referring to is the Advanced Shipping plugin, which is not the same as this one.

You’d want to get in touch through the support form for that plugin: http://jeroensormani.com/woocommerce-advanced-shipping/support

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
