This could be due to a server crash when the sitemap was being generated. You should try clearing the cache and then visit http://mysite.com/post_listing_type_part4.xml again to see if it works.

How many posts do you have?

Can you check your server’s error log to see if there’s any pointer? Something like “allowed memory of xxxx exceeded” or “Maximum execution time of xx seconds exceeded”.

Are you using CPanel, or having SSH access to server? Just login and browser to Error log, you should see something there.

Or you can use FTP and go to your site’s root, there could be a file named “error.log” there.

Okay try the following one last time:

    1. turn on WP_DEBUG
    2. flush sitemap cache
    3. turn on sitemap debug

visit: http://yourdomain.com/page.xml and see if there’s any error.
