a lot of people have been running into this error, myself included. from what iv been able to find some are having success doing a manual ftp of a fresh copy of 4.7 (excluding the wp-config.php file)
Im waiting to finish pulling down an ftp copy of my own site before giving this a try.
I get exactly the same error.
That will teach me for not waiting until the first update to a new update.
How can they get it so wrong?
Yes, I have identical problem to OP. Creates server 500 error for admin area only (which is not accessible), but rest of website does still show.
Everyone:
1) Please read https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-4-7-master-list/?view=all
2) most 4.7 errors result from caching. Clear/disable all caches.
3) Please do not “me, too” onto a thread. If you have an issue, start a new one. Thanks.
Just for the record, I have done
– Clear all caches
– Disable all plugins
– Disable actual theme
and it still would no cure the problem, so I had to recover from a backup to the old 4.6.1 version.
I think I’ll stick with this one for some more time
Thanks all
Problem Solved
Clearing caches does not solve it for me either.
also have the same issue after upgrading to wp 4.7 and couldn’t access my dashboard!
