Did you change anything the last days?
If not: Maybe your hoster did some updates/ configuration changes?
If you updated Piwik some time ago, please check this topic:

Yes, I updated Piwik.
Thanks for the quick helpful response.
Best regards
Rainer
I’m quite a newbie so the thread mentioned above and the fix within doesn’n really help me to solve the problem.
I’ve got the same error message (Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten: Bitte überprüfe die URL und den auth token. Du benötigst zumindest View-Zugriff auf eine Seite) along with quite a strange behaviour of the plugin/my piwik installation:
Whenever I’m changing one of the options (for example under the tracking tab and saving the changes) the auto configuration feature ads a new website to my piwik installation. The tracking-code that is inserted autimatically to the template is changing correspondingly and shows the new Site ID (setSiteId 3 instead of 2 for example). Is there anything I can do to solve this issue?
Kind Regards
Frank
I’m sorry if the fix described in the link does not help you. It is an issue related to Piwik itself, so we have to wait for Piwik’s next release.
wp-newbie… in case you’re subscribed to this thread, Piwik 2.7 includes the fix so please update
