Paypal is connected, but I am getting the error below for Event Tickets plugin using the latest version (5.2.2). I read in the archive that this problem was resolved in a previous version. A code snippet was provided (had to do with currency). So I installed the code snippet in the functions file and it didn’t work, so I tried the code snippet plugin, but it still isn’t working. I am in Canadian. Could it be that the snippet needs to be adjusted for Canadian dollars? Tried changing to CAD and it didn’t work.

This is the error when one attempts to purchase a ticket:

    Checkout Unavailable!
Checkout is not available at this time because a payment method has not been set up for this event. Please notify the site administrator.

  • What are you using as your payment processor? Tickets Commerce? WooCommerce? Easy Digital Downloads?

Just PayPal. I understood PayPal was available in the free version. My client has a Paypal account and the connection initially didn’t work, but did after a few tries.

Hi, I’m having the same issue here! I’m a paid user, with the Virtual Event Marketing Bundle. Having the latests version.

Everything worked ok a couple of weeks ago, but now I’m seeing the “Checkout Unavailable!” message with Tickets Commerce.

In the Tickets tab it says that it is connected to Paypal but when I press the “Resync Payment Connection” button I get a “Error – Something went wrong! : Unexpected response recieved. – Failed to refresh PayPal access token.” message.

    Please urgent help!

Please make sure your ET plugin is up to date.

Then completely remove the PayPal connection, and re-connect from scratch.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for this, but I have uninstalled. I was concerned that it wasn’t working. I feel it needs to be reliable.

@arconsulting well, it is working for everybody else =]

I went to your site to test and noticed there are a lot of bugs with the theme.

Perhaps you should try reverting to a default theme temporarily, like 2020 and disable other plugins and see if the checkout works.

Hey there. Thanks for your help.I read of others having issues as well both before and recently. I will have a look at the errors. They are jquery related.

Just FYI, the bugs I saw seem to be theme/PHP related. Here’s a quick screen recording:

You’re probably already aware of these but just in case I thought I’d share

Thanks. sorry thats my test site. The live site looks ok. thanks so much for taking the time. That was very nice of you. The live site is flao.org. The test site is just in a directory. Usually use a subdomain, but here just the “test” directory.

here is the live site news and events page. I think because the plugin was uninstalled on the test site it did some weird things:

Ok, so it looks like you’re trying to use this calendar plugin:

    https://cl.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/event-calendar-wd/

    With our Event Tickets plugin?

You’ll probably get a better experience if you use our Calendar plugin along with our Tickets plugin.

they were already using the calendar. That works very well. It was the ticket part that gave me errors.

    Hi there,

Just as a follow-up, I tried again to install and configure the payment gateway for the ticket plugin (calendar plugin was also installed). Tried first in sandbox and then in live mode. I switched to a default theme and could not get it working. In sandbox it said it wasn’t configured. In live mode it hung. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I don’t think so. I resynced, reconnected, etc. but couldn’t get it working.

    Hi @arconsulting

Sorry you are still having trouble here, I’m going to assume you have follow this guide correct? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/tickets-commerce/

You’ll need to set the currency symbol in Events > Settings > General, and then under Events > Settings > Payments you need to set that to CAD there. You’ll need to have a PayPal developer account to set this up, could that possibly be an issue?

Can you maybe share some screenshots of your settings on the “Payments” tab? You can upload them to some kind of sharing site. Please let us know!

    Hi again,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions!

    Best,
    Juan.
