Hi @woodypad,
By clicking the restore to “Restore to default WordPress menu” it will restore the menu to the default WordPress menu, so yes it will delete any customisations. I realise this might sound self serving, but I really think you would get a lot of benefit out of the pro version of the plugin: https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/custom-admin-interface-pro/ the menu functionality is far more powerful, you can create multiple custom menus and it keeps a history log of all the changes so you can restore back to specific points the same way you can restore a WordPress post to a specific point in time.
As mention in the free version of the plugin the admin menu and toolbar features are BETA. And we even mention we don’t provide support for this for the free plugin. The pro version isn’t BETA, it’s been completely re-written. I do hope one day to bring the foundation of the pro version over to the free version one day but the problem is it takes too much resources and I am just a freelancer. Thanks,
Hi @northernbeacheswebsites,
I am aware that you cannot provide support for the free plugin.
What I reported, I think is an error, because it does not restore the wordpress menu, it simply deletes everything leaving the page blank.
There is no longer even a menu item or plugin that was there when I first installed your plugin. But just a blank page altogether, there are only the plugin buttons.
For the pro version, I would buy it, the fact is as I said I really have many other monthly and yearly subscriptions now, like others we are trying to buy now only lifetime licenses.
Thank you
Ok no worries, I will see if anyone else reports this issue. Thanks @woodypad
It happened with me too. I clicked in “Restore do default WordPress menu” and it deleted all the items. No I can’t see nothing in the Admin Menu page.
I thought that clicking to restore, would give all the menus again, all visible, but it didn’t.
I already deleted and reinstalled the plugin, and deleted all settings in the Manage Settings section, but nothing works.
I got this error while loading the page:
TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating ‘a.indexOf’)
Line 5:
if (-1 !== a.indexOf(“<span”)) {
var t = a.indexOf(“<span”);
return a.substr(0, t – 1)
}
@felipereisfernandes, try this plugin here which will delete all plugin settings:

Once activated, deactivate and remote the plugin and try again.
