  • Hi @laguiadelaljarafe,

Did it disappear after an update to WordPress, or the WP Job Manager plugins? On my test site with WordPress 6.1.1 and WP Job Manager 1.38.1 I am still able to view and use the Reusable Blocks without issue.

Another thing we would want to check, if you try adding a new reusable block, is it showing the option to add it, and then showing the Reusable Block menu again?

Again on my test site, I didn’t initially have any reusable blocks set up so the menu was missing. In the editor for a post, if you click the three dot menu at the top right, then the Manage Reusable Blocks menu, is it showing your blocks there?

    hi @michaelnutt
-Did it disappear after an update to WordPress, or the WP Job Manager plugins?

Well, I think that in neither of the 2, it had been several days since both word press and wp job manager updates, it was working fine for me and suddenly they disappeared, I only know that in the tests if I deactivate job manager it works again

    – On my test site with WordPress 6.1.1 and WP Job Manager 1.38.1 I am still able to view and use the Reusable Blocks without issue.

Those are the same updates that I have, but I even tried to install the previous ones from both wp job manager and word press and gutenberg, but the problem continues, it is only solved when I deactivate wp job manager

    – Another thing we would want to check, if you try adding a new reusable block, is it showing the option to add it, and then showing the Reusable Block menu again?

in the post or page editor it does not show it anywhere, neither in the advanced search engine nor in the block library

    – Again on my test site, I didn’t initially have any reusable blocks set up so the menu was missing. In the editor for a post, if you click the three dot menu at the top right, then the Manage Reusable Blocks menu, is it showing your blocks there?

Yes, if I go to the 3 points to manage reusable blocks, it takes me to the page where all the ones I have created are shown, but the only way to use them is to copy the html code from there or create a shortcode and save to paste them myself because the post editor does not provide them to me

I left you a link with screenshots in a post where I show you everything
    https://laguiadelaljarafe.com/problema-bloques-reutilizables/

tengo 2 complementos de wpmanager que me pide activar la licencia

I have 2 wp job manager plugins that ask me to activate the license “WP Job Manager – Job Tags” and “WP Job Manager – WooCommerce Paid Listings” but I don’t think it affects, since in the test test only deactivating the main WPJob Manager already works, the problem that I lose the entire structure of the web.

The day it stopped working there was an error...

The error was this (An E_ERROR type error has occurred on line 1029 of the file /homepages/38/d848726837/htdocs/clickandbuilds/LaGuadelAljarafe/wp-content/themes/listable/inc/widgets.php. Error message: Cannot redeclare sort_by_post_count() (previously declared in /homepages/38/d848726837/htdocs/clickandbuilds/LaGuadelAljarafe/wp-content/themes/listable/inc/widgets.php:1029)

    - updated these plugins
      - Jetpack (from version 11.5.1 to 11.6)
      - Jetpack Boost (from version 1.5.4 to 1.6.0)
    - HubSpot All-In-One Marketing - Forms, Popups, Live Chat (from version 9.0.500 to 9.2.12)

But I have tried to deactivate them and the problem continues, as I already said, it can only be solved if I deactivate wp job manager.

I hope I can solve it because my website is based on WP Job Manager, but the tool that stopped working for me is also very important for my work.

An important piece of information that also gave me an error before the reusable blocks disappeared, which I don’t know if it was related, when I was working on the layout of a web page, inserting several reusable blocks with inherited widgets from listing categories in the same I edit when I introduced more than 6 or 7 reusable blocks that I have created with these widgets it gave me this error…

“Failed to publish. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    Hi there, @laguiadelaljarafe,

Thanks for the thorough reply. It’s very helpful to us to get all this info – it’s not too much, don’t worry about it πŸ™‚

Also, thanks for the screenshots. We’re going to pass it to our developers should we need to escalate the problem.

Given the two errors you reported in your latest message, I wonder if a theme conflict is happening at the moment, resulting in these blocks not showing.

Can you try to switch theme in your staging site first to see how it goes? You may want to use a default theme like Twenty-twenty instead of the one you’re running now.

If this helps, try to do the same on your productions site too.

Let me know what you find out! 🀞

Good morning, it seems that the problem may come from the Theme that I have installed, “Listable” from Pixelgrade.

I have contacted them and they tell me that this theme is not compatible with gutenberg and they tell me that I have to work with the old wordpress editor, that they do not plan to make any improvements to the template to make it compatible with the block editor .

What I do not understand, if it is not compatible? How have I been working with the editor for more than 4 months and it worked correctly? And suddenly it starts giving problems without having made any recent update of the theme.
Because I really do work with the block editor, not in the lists, but in the posts and pages, the only thing that gives me an error is in the reusable blocks or when I insert more than 5 inherited widgets in the same post or page through of the blocks.

Because in the theme it works perfectly with the reusable blocks when I disable wp job manager?

This is what doesn’t make much sense, I don’t get it.

But hey, I’m already thinking of using another directory template that is updated and based on gutenberg blocks “Citadela” from AitThemes, I feel a little cheated by Pixelgrade, make a template, sell it and make it obsolete refusing to make improvements to update it and is compatible with the new tools and basic plugins for wordpress work, well I will never buy any product from them again, and my reviews you will understand that they will not be good, it is a pity that affects companies like you who do things well, and The problem with listable is that its structure is based on wp job manager and the template I’m looking at has its own list plugin without the need for yours.

    Thank you for your attention.

    Hi @laguiadelaljarafe,

Thanks for the thorough follow-up! I am glad ot hear that you pinpointed the root of the issue, and that you’re taking immediate action to fix that.

I hope you’ll like your next theme πŸ™‚

As for what caused the sudden conflict resulting in the issue you reported, that is hard to say from our end. I wished the theme support could shed some light on that, as it’d be helpful for us to know that, too — it’s good info in case we stumble upon a similar case.

As far as we’re concerned, it seems like the case can be closed now πŸ™‚

I’m going to mark this thread as solved. If you have any further questions or need more help, you’re welcome to open another thread here. Cheers!
