Thank you very much for reporting it! I was developing on mac and checking compatibility in windows 10 edge and internet explorer 11. Didn’t imagine that IE10 and lower gave error on “const” keyword.
I have replaced “const” by “var” (less code cleanness, but not critical).
Update to 1.3.9 and let me know if it works.
Regards, Alex
did the update solve the problem?
Hi, sorry I didn’t see this until now, yeah it works great. Thanks so much!
Oh actually still seems to be problems with IE8 and below, I don’t know if you care (I guess you can’t keep outdated browsers supported) but figured I should let you know!
I tested my plugin with IE8. Didn’t find fatal (halt) errors, but all animations that use “opacity” CSS rule do not work well, this is a known issue in IE8-
Another problem could be a comma at the end of properties list in JS object but if you update to 1.4 it should be corrected.
You will help me a lot if you describe the issue you encounter in IE8 and below.
Thank you, regards, Alex
Thank you for reporting the issue. Now I’m back to my Windows machine, so I can emulate IE8 and test. You are right, Smart Countdown FX blocks IE8 due to critical performance issues. I will look at it in more detail. Curiously, IE7 while having important CSS issues, performs much faster than IE8 (in my plugin scope).
However I confirm that IE9+ and Windows 10 Edge work flawlessly with Smart Countdown FX
