    Hi everyone,

Recently I´ve installed this amazing plugin and I´m getting in the same troubles as this past ticket tagged as solved:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/add-shipping_label-to-google-product-feed/

Actually there is no a real answer to solve that problem and I´m stuck at the same point, the merchant center does not process our feed because of an invalid postal-code value inserted as a range in the woocommerce shipping area.

I´ve tried different ways to input the ranges of postal codes without find a valid way.

There is someone who had solved it?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi “takeyourweek”,

According to Google’s help page on:
    https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324484?hl=en

The values in the g:postal_code field need to meet these requirements:

Submit a postal code range. This is supported for the United States and Australia. Submit any of the following styles:
    A ZIP or postal code (e.g., 94043)
    A range of postal codes (e.g., 94002-95460)
    A range of postal codes using a prefix with a wildcard ( * ) (e.g., 94*)
    A range of postal codes using 2 prefixes with wildcards ( * ) (e.g., 94*-95*)

So, have you checked how the postal_codes in your product feed look like and what exactly is wrong with them according to Google?

    Best,
    Eva

    Hi Eva,

Thank you for your fast response.

As you can see in the Google´s instructions, the postal code range is only supported for the US and Australia.

Also, is not posible to insert a valid postal code range because the input form for woocommerce is 15000…56000 and the valid form for the Google´s feed is 15000-56000.

My question is, how can I disable, if I can, the postal-code tag from the feed generated by your plugin.

If I can disable it, it will be posible to set a shipping method for the Google Shopping campaign and the postal code ranges running by woocommerce on the other side.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Our plugin converts the WooCommerce zip-code format to the required Google Shopping zipcode format.

See for example these zipcode’s with a flat rate shipping method:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/8unuuiq3b9plex4/zipcode-1.png?dl=0

Looks like this in the feed:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/7qv51w0j9uypus4/zipcode-2.png?dl=0

It is not possible to only remove the zipcode part from the shipping XML snippet but that should not be needed as it meets Google’s requirements.

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hi again Eva,

Ok now I see that the plugin generates the postal-code format in the right way on the feed.

This means that if you are not in the US or AUS you can not work with postal code ranges within Google Shopping campaings?

    Thank you.

    Ferran

That is correct. Google’s help page also states that:
    https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324484?hl=en

    postal_code
Submit a postal code range. This is supported for the United States and Australia.

    Best,
    Eva
