    Your problems looks like a compatibility issue. Do you have a link to the site where you obtained your theme – is it http://directorypress.net/?

    I think that the issue can be caused by two things:

    1. The theme “hooks” into the saving mechanism of the Custom Post Type API, which Content Aware Sidebars rely on.

    2. The theme has its own “sidebar” Custom Post Type, making it conflict with the “sidebar” Custom Post Type registered by Content Aware Sidebars.

    In both cases, a sidebar seems to be converted to a listing on save, which means that it is no longer controlled by Content Aware Sidebars, and therefore it will not show up in the sidebar manager and widgets screen.

    thanks for the fast anwser Jocachim, i bought the theme from http://www.premiumpress.com/

    is there a way to fix this problem?

    I suggest that you contact the customer support for the specified theme and show them this thread and/or tell them to contact me. This way we can find out where and how exactly the conflict occurs and hopefully sort it out.
