    am building my site on localhost with MAMP 6.9 and image format avif,

    when i try to Regenerate Thumbnails, i got this message :

    ERROR: The current image editor cannot process this file type.

    pls help me!

    Hi @joomskys,

    The error indicates that your site’s setup does not support media in AVIF format.

    Would you check your current media handling settings in WP-admin > Tools > Site Health, and expand the section under “Media Handling”? It should look like this:

    If your site’s media handling settings does not show AVIF under supported file formats, Regenerate Thumbnails won’t either.

    can you help me turn on AVIF support ?

    We’re here to help with the settings and functions of the Regenerate Thumbnail plugin, but we aren’t able to help you modify your site media handling settings. For help turning on AVIF support I recommend reaching out to your host.
