I’ll be glad to help. Are you currently using the latest version of the plugin? Please try deleting it from your site and reinstalling the latest version.
Is this error on your site frontend? or is it somwewhere else?
The proper way to test for conflicts is to deactivate all your plugins except avada and then activate nextgen to start off. Did you do it this way? If not please try that.

I deactivated all the plugins and reactivated only the Nextgen and it still throws the “Error thrown
Call to undefined function Avada()” error.
It is the latest version of Nextgen and the error appears when you pull up the home page (but only when Nextgen is activated).
Is Avada another plugin? I don’t have any Avada listed…

Hmm, that’s odd since from what it looks like, you aren’t using Avada theme. Perhaps there’s a plugin that relies on Avada theme and it somehow conflicts when NextGen Gallery is activated. We hope that you wouldn’t mind temporarily deactivating all the plugins excepting NextGen Gallery, switch to a theme from the Twenty series, activate NextGen Gallery and then activate the other plugins one by one and switch back to the theme that you were using.

I found out that the Education Zone I was using along with the University Zone themes both were throwing that error when I checked. The Twenty series did not throw the error with the NextGen, but I switched to the theme that they recommended since they were not going to support that Twenty theme anymore. So far, all looks well for now and I guess I will use (at least) for now. Thank you for your help in support with this!
