    Hi,

I’m using Complianz (free version) and Google Analytics for Woocommerce, but with both of them active the ecommerce event aren’t tracked, for example when i click on Add to cart button it fires a form_submit event, but not an add_to_cart

    The Google Tag Assistant says:

*“A Consent Management Platform (CMP) may be blocking tags.”*The Consent Management Platform (CMP) used on your site for managing user privacy choices might be preventing Google tags or Tag Manager from loading.

    How to fix the issue:

    – Review your CMP’s configuration settings, particularly how it integrates with Google Tag Manager or Google Consent Mode.

    – Ensure the CMP is correctly signaling consent status to Google tags (e.g., updating the dataLayer or using Consent Mode APIs).

    – Test the tag behavior by clearing your consent preferences (often possible via the CMP banner/settings) and providing/denying consent again, observing Tag Assistant and console logs.

    – Check if the CMP itself is blocking Google scripts before consent is granted, and ensure it correctly allows them *after* consent is given for the appropriate categories.

    – Consult your CMP provider’s documentation and support resources for guidance on proper integration with Google tags.”

I’ve tried to disable Complianz, but in this case the Tag Assistant says there is non google tag installed.

I’ve already tried to clear my consent preferences and nothing change, but i need help with the other suggestion. Can you guide me?

    Hello @nummu4 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I checked your setup, and it looks like the same Google Analytics tag is being inserted simultaneously by Complianz, Google Analytics for WooCommerce, and a custom integration about the Consent Mode v2. This overlap can easily lead to redundant or conflicting tag behavior.

In this case, it would be best to let Google Analytics for WooCommerce handle all tracking by enabling the integration in
Complianz > Integrations > Plugins > WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration.
When this integration is active, the fields in Statistics Configuration will be hidden, and GA for WooCommerce will be the only plugin inserting the gtag script. This will remove the redundancy and ensure proper event tracking.

To properly test this, you should try with Complianz disabled, as the Google Analytics tag is being added directly by the external plugin. I tested the tag myself using only Google Analytics for WooCommerce, and it fired correctly.

With that said, regarding the main issue: tracking specific events; I would recommend contacting the support team of Google Analytics for WooCommerce, as they can best assist you in making sure your eCommerce events are tracked properly.

    Best regards,
    Antonio
