Error trying to set up for Gmail

    I’m trying to set up your SMTP plugin with a gmail address and keep getting an error saying Username & Password is incorrect yet it is the current information. These are the steps I took to set it up. Please help?

    Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
    Socket: SMTP – gmail.com:587
    Authentication: Password

    Error Message: Sending the message: Failed – Check the plugin email log for more info: Here

    Status: 5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at
    5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials t17sm4841711pfg.93 – gsmtp

    Hi @dicko99,

    Did you try the steps in ‘Step 2’? It is usually that you need to enable ‘less secure apps’ on your Gmail account. Alternatively, try setting up with API.
