Error Updating Wordfence

    I tried to update WordPress from 7.4.6 to 7.4.7 and am getting the following error:
    Update Failed: {“success”:false,”data”:{“update”:”plugin”,”slug”:”wordfence”,”oldVersion”:”Version 7.4.6″,”newVersion”:””,”plugin”:”wordfence\/wordfence.php”,”pluginName”:”Wordfence Security”,”errorMessage”:”Could not copy file. wordfence\/lib\/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb”}}

    Help is appreciated.

    Hey @taysys,

    I’m sorry to hear that you’ve run into this. Can you please try reinstalling Wordfence and let us know if this happens in the future? Given the error message, it’s possible there are permissions issues.

    Could not copy file. wordfence\/lib\/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb

    Where do I get the plugin to download and re-install?

    You can download it from your site’s Plugins > Add New page. Search for Wordfence.
