error uploading pictures

    Hello,

    after working perfectly for months I constantly receive error message “[filename].JPG: HTTP Error. 500; Upload URL might be wrong or doesn’t exist.” when uploading pictures to gmedia plugin. All that has changed is that word press automatically updated to v5.5.3.

    This is what I already checked:
    – I checked file permissions
    – I deactivated and activated the plugin
    – I reinstalled wordpress v5.5.3 update
    – I increased php memory limit to 512M (was 256M before)
    – I checked the log but found no errors
    – I searched the web for that error but found nothing applicable that I haven’t tried yet.

    Any help of what else I could try would be highly appreciated.
