Error validating access token

Hi Support Team,

We followed your guide here for connecting the plugin to facebook as suggested https://wpreviewslider.userecho.com/knowledge-bases/2/articles/548-facebook-error-unable-to-find-the-auth-token-for-that-page-or-oops-unable-to-update-the-db-with

But when we tried to “Retrieve Reviews” it says:
Error validating access token: This may be because the user logged out or may be due to a system error. Please visit this page for things to try.

The given secret access code was correct.

Hi Support team,

For an update:

We tried retrieving the facebook reviews and it says:
Finished! The reviews should now show up on the Review List page of the plugin as per screenshot down below:

But there is no generated/retrieved testimonials on the list?

Can anyone give us advise?

See if there are any error messages in the console window. Right-click on the page > inspect, look for the console window.

Thank you for your response.

Any recommendations to solve this issue? or any updates from FB ratings API endpoint?

I would try these steps again…

First revoke access for the app to your FB account. Go here…

https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools

Find “WP Review Slider” and remove it.

Then you can go here…

https://fbapp.ljapps.com/login.php

and sign-in. That should request a new API token from FB.

Finally, un-check and re-check any pages that you want to use in the plugin.

For the benefit of the doubt, I did the steps you advised again today but with same results and issue still persist.

The result again is “Finished! The reviews should now show up on the Review List page of the plugin.”

But there is no generated/retrieved tesimonials from facebook in the list.

As you can see here, all the details were correct:

I’m wondering is this is an issue with your plugin or from facebook?

So it seems FB is having some issues with their API at the moment. Here are links to the support threads. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.
