    Hi Support,

I am setting “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” page when deleting the media files. I am sure this issue is caused by W3cache plugin as when I remove this plugin the media delete works and do not works when activated again.

Here we are getting the network request 500 for url “/wp-admin/post.php?action=delete&post=13794&_wpnonce=4432589d52”

FYI: We are also using the CDN cache with amazon cloudfront, on further debugging, I found that this media delete issue only occurs when this option is enabled, if this CDN option is disabled then it works.

    Hello @sushilsth

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please confirm that those files that you are deleting are uploaded to the CDN prior to deleting them?

If so, please make sure to disable the CDN before deleting those files, and once deleted, re-enable the CDN and purge all cache.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply. Yes the images are also uploaded to the CDN. I have verified this using CDN url.
Here is the CDN url: https://d3fenx19q7wban.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Picture9.png

Still I am facing the same issue. Could there be any other issue?

    Thank you

    Hello @sushilsth

Thank you for your feedback. Can you please share the screenshot of your CDN settings?
Are you able to delete the media files once the CDN is disabled, and also if so, once you re-enable the CDN and purge all cache does the problem persists?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I am able to delete the media once I disable the CDN. I have attached the screenshot.

Once you re-enable the CDN and purge all cache does the problem persists?

    Hello @sushilsth

Just to confirm, the issue persists when you are trying to delete media files with CDN activated?
    Thanks!

    Hi @marko

Yes. When the CDN is activated, there is issue when trying to delete media. And when I deactivate the CDN with plugin activated, there is no any issue.

    Hello @sushilsth

Yes, and the reason for this is that the media is also uploaded to the CDN.
You should disable the CDN when deleting the files from the media library.
    Thanks!
