Error when I run the install script

I just went through that link you posted and now see that I don’t have a .htaccess file. Yes, I’ve made sure to check see hidden files in my ftp client.
My administrator only allows me access to one file on the server. Could it be that they didn’t set up the file correctly with permissions and everything?
