Error when setting sitemap

    Hi there,

    I am new to WP and, I see this question has been asked before, but I don’t know how to get to the place to solve it.

    I have just set my sitemap in Google Search Console and when I go to see it, it gives me: “error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document”

    But I don’t know where to delete those lines.

    Hi @trinidadcitra,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    In most cases when this happens, it’s due to a blank space in specific theme files. We have some documentation about this very topic here: https://yoast.com/help/xml-sitemap-error/. In there, we recommend doing a conflict check to find the cause
