    Hi @almendron

I tested the Facebook share button at the end of your most recent article. I was able to share to both a profile and page without issue (see screenshot showing a page share below).

Are you still experiencing this issue?

    Hi @almendron

I tested with those steps, and I was able to share without issue (see screenshot at the end of this email). Could you try sharing this in a new private browser window? It may be that something is cached in your browser that is causing an issue.

Are you sharing on a profile or on a Facebook page?
It is important to first log in to Facebook with a profile and then switch to a page. In my case, I log in with my profile (https://www.facebook.com/miguel.moline.1/) and then change to a page (https://www.facebook.com/bitacora.almendron/).

I have tested with Firefox and Chrome (including private window) and the result is the same: error.

    Hi @almendron

I am testing with a profile and then switching to the page.

Is it possible for you to try on another device?

    Hello @almendron,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

It is not resolved. There has been a power supply problem in Spain which has affected telecommunications.
Next week I hope that this problem will be resolved and I will be able to explain what I have found out about the problem.

    Hi there, @almendron,

Thanks for the follow-up. We have followed the mega outage in Spain and Portugal, we’re glad to hear all is back to normal now.

We’re keeping this thread open for another week before checking on you again. Keep us posted on your findings!

    Hi there, @almendron,

Any news at all? As mentioned, we close inactive threads after one week, but we want to check on you before doing it 🙂

I apologize for not replying sooner, but I wanted to update WP (to version 6.8.1) and Jetpack (to version 14.6).
I have done so and the error has not disappeared.
    Tests done:
    1) An administrator of the Facebook page tried it from another computer.
    2) Another person tried to share on a Facebook page other than ours.

In both cases, the post could not be shared.

Question. The Facebook page where you shared the post: do you need to be an administrator to post or can anyone post?

    Hi there –

I believe whether you need to be an administrator to posts depends on how the page is configured. That said, I was able to reproduce the error this time. It seems like it is on the Facebook side, but I’m asking our development team to take a look.

We’ll let you know as soon as we have an update.

    Hi @almendron

Our development team confirmed that this issue is happening on Facebook’s end, which makes troubleshooting difficult. It sounds like you did some of the following, but could you try these steps:

    • Trying in a different browser
    • Trying with a different Facebook account
    • Trying to deactivate any browser extensions that may impact things
    • Trying from a different network

Let us know if any of those solve the issue.

If you still have issues, you will want to reach out to Facebook for assistance. You can get a hold of them at:
