Hello
Can you drop me screenshots of the error?

I’m just chiming in here to say that I got the exact same Divi Visual Builder error, but in my case a different plugin was the culprit: WP Ultimate Post Grid Premium.
Divi has a rollback function in Divi > Theme Options > Updates and rolling back to the previous version fixed it for me, at least for now.
Seeing as the latest version is conflicting with more than one plugin, hopefully this is something that Divi can fix in a future release.
Hello @puddesign
Do you use woof widget or shortcode in this section?

Hi @pavloborysenko this is is the error in google console https://cl.ly/c4f5d380a112 the page doesn’t even have a widget in, just the fact of having the plugin installed causes it, it only seems to happen if there is a slider on the page. I’m also sharing these findings with elegant themes the maker of Divi.

Elegant Themes say they have added this as a compatibility issue.

@pavloborysenko ah no but it maybe Divi or sitground optimiser minifying it, let me check when I get home. @drrichbunk what version of Divi works.
The one that works for me is 3.19.5
Hello @puddesign , did you succeed to fix this error? I have almost the same problem but i didn’t find how can i rolling back to 3.19.5 like @drrichbunk ?
(I’ve been able to rolling back until 3.19.13, not older)
Thanks!

Hi @ggie yes I did here is a link to Divi 3.19.5 https://ufile.io/slh57
use FTP to replace the current version make sure you backup wp and your database first
For me, the problem was that my client had requested that I use the most recent jQuery instead of what is included in the WordPress core. No special reason to override jQuery — they just wanted the newest. As soon as I reverted to the stock WordPress jQuery version, I was able to use the most recent versions of Divi without any of these problems and haven’t had any problems since.
@drrichbunk Just wanted to say thanks for your suggestion.
My client also wanted a newer jQuery version for security. So we updated it using jQuery Updater plugin, because it’s safe and doesn’t replace the WP core’s jQuery version, hence never suspected a thing… It actually worked fine for like a day, so we though it’s one of the new plugins.
Simply deactivating the plugin solved the issue and the Divi visual builder stopped showing the:
et_pb_section could not be displayed.

TypeError: Cannot read property ‘TagName’ of undefined
Hi everybody,
I have the same problem but the solutions you are suggesting are incomprehensible to me. So I have this message when I enable my visual builder, which is Divi:
[et_pb_column could not be displayed.
hide error message
Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: .[et_pb_column
in t in div in t in ETBuilderSection in div in t in div in ETBuilderRoot in t
Could anybody help me resolving this? Any help would be highly appreciated. It is the first time I try to build a website, and it is for an environmental ngo in a voluntary base.
Thanks in advance!
