Thanks for reaching out @stephencopley, and great to know your Site Health status doesn’t indicate any site wide issue or area of concern. To troubleshoot this further, please share the following:
- Your full Site Health information (via Tools > Site Health > info > Copy site info to clipboard). You can use this form to share privately if preferred. This will give more insights into your Site Kit specific setup, and not just your overall website status.
- Do you have any addition browser on your machine whereby you can check does the same error appear when logging into your site? Alternatively, does the same occur when checking from a Chrome browser incognito window? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear. This can help indicate a browser or caching related block.
- Can you confirm no issues setting up and viewing the Site Kit dashboard from this disposable WordPress site? This will help indicate a possible host related issue if all works fine from here, while also ruling out local or browser related issues.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
Just to make you aware, we were able to recreate this error and determine a likely cause – a conflict which can occur if there is another active plugin or theme that uses the Vafpress Framework, a project which is no longer maintained for many years. While there is little we can do with regards to usage of this framework, we do have a workaround in the form of a mini-plugin that can be used. To do so, please follow the steps below:
- Download this mini-plugin
- Upload and activate the plugin (via the plugin upload method)
- Keep this plugin active in the event that the conflict does return while the framework used by the conflicting plugin is in use
In addition, it would be great if you could share your Site Health information as suggested above, so I can review the plugins you have active, to ensure we are aware of any specific plugins using this conflicting framework. Do let me know if you have any questions on the above, thank you!
Thanks I tried the mini plugin and still happening. I filled out the form.

Thanks for the update @stephencopley, and sorry to hear that didn’t work. Note that your full Site Health information didn’t contain all your details as per Tools > Site Health > info > Copy site info to clipboard. I can see your console errors which useful, but it would be great to know of your Site Kit setup. Regardless, please perform the checks below:
- Does the same occur if you temporarily disconnect the Google Analytics module (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit)? This will help indicate something blocking any Analytics widgets.
- Does the same occur if you uninstall and reinstall Site Kit in full? This can be useful in the event something went wrong with a plugin update.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. If the same does occur in both scenarios, please share your full Site Health information via Tools > Site Health > info > Copy site info to clipboard, pasting the response in here or privately via the same form used when sharing your console errors. Thank you!
I’m just following up with you to check whether the error remains? If so please share the information requested above and we can investigate further.
As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
