    Hi,

I’m trying to activate this plugin on a client’s site but I keep getting an error message. I’ve used this plugin on a few other clients and not run into this issue.

The full error message I’m getting is:

Something is wrong. Response takes too long or there is JS error. Press Ctrl+Shift+J or Cmd+Shift+J on a Mac to see error in console or ask for free support.
Instagram token is invalid or expired. Please reset token and sign-in again to get new one.
Admin warning: there is one or more private user in this feed(). Their media won’t be displayed.

I’ve had the client reset the token a couple of times and it’s still not working. We’ve tried using a token and account form a different site that we know for sure is working but we get the same errors. I have deactivated, deleted and reinstalled but no change. I have also tried creating a new feed but this also didn’t have any effect.

I noticed that on the Settings Page, the View Your Feed and Edit Your Feed coloured buttons above the access token input aren’t appearing like they do on our other sites.

Nothing in the Console relating to this issue either.

Running WP: 5.2.3, 10Web Social Photo Feed: 1.3.21, PHP: 7.1

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Cheers,
    Tom.

    Hi @tomrock,

Please enter Instagram feed > settings > advanced > uninstall.

Now please activate the plugin again, try to authenticate and create the feed again.

    Hi Zhanna,

Thanks for getting back to me. I uninstalled and reinstalled through the advanced settings and now the View Your Feed and Edit Your Feed buttons are appearing. View Your Feed works and /my-instagram-feed/ shows the correct feed with the settings that I have applied.

When I put this feed on the actual page however, no images appear and I get the error:
    Something is wrong.
    Instagram token error.

I have tried with a different instagram account and access token (after uninstalling and reinstalling) and get the same error message.

Also, Preview on the Feeds page takes me to a blank page except for the text index.php.

    Cheers,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Can you please send us the webpage URL where you have inserted the feed?

Please also write what type of feed you have created? Have you added any filters?

Also please write which version of our plugin you use?

    Hi Zhanna,

The issue is fixed now thanks. The problem was that wp_footer() was being called at the top of the footer.php for some reason, so was being called before do_shortcode() and the feed. Moved wp_footer() to the right place and it’s working fine now.

    Cheers for your help,

    Tom.
