Errors With show_dfi() in Posts

Unsure if related, but started happening shortly after the latest Core update to 4.8.1.

- Verified in options that a Default Featured Image is set.
- De- and re-activated plugin, ensure it’s the latest version (from a year ago).
- Cleared default image in settings, saved. Then set a new, different image as the default and saved. Still errors.
Seeing this on three of my sites. Help?
