Yes, there are temp files.
Are they created each time your go on the page, or on 6 hours delay?
You will see the last update of each tmp files in the admin page.

It appears they are created each time a visitor navigates to the page.

actually, it seems that they are only created when the page loads if the cache is older than 6 hours

I use one shortcode per page:

Ok, your suppose to have 10 000 requests per day max with your API key.
Do you use your API key elsewhere?
PS: the plugin do 1 request per short code every 6 hour

nope, just there… here is the exact error we got:
Dear Developer,
This message is regarding your Etsy App, XXXXXXX, with api_key: XXXXXXX
This message is to notify you that you are near the limit of your Etsy API quota. You have reached 80% of your quota of: 10 requests per 1 second(s)
If your application requires a higher quota, please contact us at [email protected] with a description of your app and the requests you are making.
I found this particularly odd because it would be very hard (if not impossible) for a human to make that many requests so rapidly, and as this is a new site, I highly doubt 8 people happened to click on to product pages on the site at the exact same time.

I just received another of these messages
Maybe you may contact Etsy to know more on that
