Etsy API Update

Just making sure you guys are aware of this Etsy Email I just received. It reads:

Hello friends,

We wanted to give you a heads up about an upcoming change we’re making that might affect your use of Etsy WordPress plugins or the Etsy API. To ensure your plugin still works after this change, you should upgrade now to the latest available version. (API developers: just make sure you connect using HTTPS.)

We will test this change on March 4 and March 11, making it permanent on March 18. So make any upgrades or changes before March 5 to make sure all is well with your plugin.

If you have trouble on the test days, contact your plugin provider. Tell them that “Etsy now requires all plugins to access their API via HTTPS.” They’ll know what that means. 🙂
