    Hi,

When one clones an event as admin, it makes the admin the author of that event. Is there any way one can change the author to another user, i.e. the original event author?

    Hi @maginem,

For now, we don’t have the option to change the author. But we have tricks on it. You have to edit the event you want.

Now you will get a URL like: https://yourdomain.dev/wp-admin/admin.php?page=eventin#/events/create/4341/basic

Now make the URL manually like this: https://yourdomain.dev/wp-admin/post.php?post=4341&action=edit

You will redirected to the old interface: https://prnt.sc/ss20VwVXbnhB

Now change the author and hit save. You author will be changed.

    Hope you can understand.

    Thanks for being with us.

Hi, thanks. I did try that, but it won’t let me select any other author/user…

Hi, ok, I activated the Classic Builder option in Divi and now it works, I can change the Author as per your workaround.

Would be great to have this as a standard option though when cloning events.

    Hi, ok cool.

Just a note though, what I noticed after changing the author on the events using your method above, it actually broke the site/those events (it seemed to be more Divi related as well). Only once I removed the events that had been edited did the site load properly again. Not sure exactly what the issue was, but I was getting a whole bunch of errors.

    Hi,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.

The tricks we shared with you to change the author is not working on the latest version right now. So we will try to add an option to change the author in the proper way, please allow us some time for that.

    Your patience is highly appreciated.

    Best Regards.
