Which part of the calendar view do you need to change? Basically, calendar colors depend on the theme you have selected, but you can change most of the colors.

I want to change the color for a specific event.
This feature is implemented in many other calendar plugins(eg modern events calendar from webnus).
In other plugins when you create an event you can choose a event color. This color is then shown in the Calendar(as background color, or like in you small calendar as a dot).
But this color is not customizable at the moment in your plugin.

I have managed to get this working by making a custom css that references hardcoded to the event_id.
