I need to update those instructions as the plugin settings have changed.
Go to the ‘Event Settings’ tab and check the relevant boxes, that should display the counters.
Cab you give me the URL of an event so I cna see what’s happening
I’m using a clone of the live members site on my local WAMPP, so here are screen captures of what I am seeing: http://sitesbywyant.com/beta/quick-event-captures.pdf
The same thing is happening on the live site. However, if you need access to the active members site for testing, I am happy to provide it.
Maybe I’m missing something – they all look fine to me.
If you contact me through the support site with the link to the live site I can do some testing: https://quick-plugins.com/quick-event-manager/
Thought: are you using the Places field or the Number field? The Places field is the one that activates the ‘more names’ box. The Number field is just a plain text number field – it doesn’t do anything.

The main issue I need addressed, by either correcting what I’m doing wrong or fixing a potential bug, is that when a new event is created, and the maximum number of attendees is entered, there does not seem to be any logical control preventing more than that max number from being exceeded. In the captures I sent you, you can see that while I entered 10 max attendees, I ended up with 12 people showing up. This occurs when you allow a registrant with multiple number of attendees. Only the primary registrant is counted, not the additional members of their party. That is why I was trying to locate your counter functionality in the hopes that is discrepancy can be remedied.
If you still need access to the site in question, please let me know and I will send you a temporary login via your plugin site contact form. Thanks!
I still think you are using the wrong field to collect the number of places required. I tested the form on my own site yesterday and it rejected the application if there were insufficient free spaces.
If you want to give me a login to the site I’ll sort it out for you. Use mail at quick-plugins.com for the email address
Sorry for the long delay in response.
Just sent you info you need to test (referencing this thread.)
Thanks
