When I click on an Event in the calendar, the details window won’t show the whole description.
I couldn’t find anywhere how to make it auto-size to the text of have side bar to scroll.

If you can show me your site, I might be able to help. This is probably an overflow issue in your theme, but I can’t be at all specific without seeing the site in question.

clicking on the title event, no longer opens the page details.

Do you have the option in Yoast’s WordPress SEO plug-in to “Redirect ugly URL’s to clean permalinks. (Not recommended in many cases!)” enabled?

If so, you should disable that. Dashboard > SEO > Permalinks.
