Event title color

I have a newbie problem, I just can’t figure out how to change the color of the event title link. Right now by default it’s blue. I tired to change it through css code (a:link), but it didn’t do anything. But it did change the hover color (a:hover).
I would also like to ask if there are some premade templates that someone would be prepared to share to make the event listing look a bit more professional.

All can be done with CSS, use a CSS debugger (like firebug) to help you along.
And unfortunately nobody provides me with their templates (although very nice things have been done with it …)
Edit: also, please don’t use the events page directly in your menu, use shortcodes in regular pages. See the doc: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/category/documentation/3-installation-and-usage/
