    Hi,

need to refresh the page (F5) to see coming events in list mode, the first time it is displayed, no events are shown (explicit message “Il n’y a pas d’évènements à venir.” in french sorry), means no events to come. Despite the widget shows them. Did I miss something ? Maybe an issue with template used (Ribosome by Galusso themes) or missing additional CSS ? thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mrbalou06 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

For us to understand and learn more about your setup, could you provide the version of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Events Calendar Pro (if using)
    5. Theme and Version

Apart from the above, do you have caching solutions (either plugin or server-side) running on your site?

    Hi @tristan083 ,

Please find requested info below :

    1. php 8.3.21

    2. WordPress 6.8.1 (fr)

    3. & 4. Events Calendar (free) 6.13.2.1

    5. Galusso Themes Ribosome 2.5.0.

Wp-optimize extension is present but cache is disabled (same idea but no result). Also, event page is excluded from cache. Please note if the event list page is displayed again using the widget button, it is empty until a refresh is done (F5) or the page URL is used in another browser tab (direct access). Seems something prevents the datas are collected through either the event calendar available functions, either the template.

EDIT : the next event button is also not activated when the list page is displayed empty.

    Just FYI,

immediately contacted / spammed by “a professional web developer” by mail. He wrote : This issue is likely due to a JavaScript conflict or template rendering delay, which I can efficiently debug and fix. As he does not seem not to be part of Events Calendar support team, unless I’m wrong, just for advice and take care of such mails sollicitations.

    Hi again,

FYI, I updated the plugin settings using the list view as the default display for the events instead of the monthly view which is empty (no events found) and it works. The issue seems to be in the monthly display, I’ll use the list view as a workaround until a solution is found.

    Hi @mrbalou06

    Thanks for your message.

I attempted to replicate the issue on my test site by updating The Events Calendar to the latest version, but everything is working as expected.

It’s possible that a plugin or theme conflict on your site is causing the problem. To help isolate the issue, I recommend running a quick conflict test: activate only our plugins along with a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One, and then check if the issue still occurs.

If everything works as expected in that setup, you can begin reactivating your other plugins and theme one by one. This will help pinpoint exactly what’s triggering the conflict.

I highly recommend doing this on a staging site to keep your live site safe and uninterrupted. If you haven’t set one up yet, the WP Staging plugin makes the process quick and easy—it just takes a few clicks.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @d0153,

thanks for this quick and detailed feedback, before rebuilding a staging site, I tried to preview the live site using Twenty Twenty one template as there is a function to do so. And it works. So I think the problem is in the template itself and not in the plugin. As the daily list works, I’ll try to find a template with the same design to avoid huge updates in the live site areas and menus.

I know the WP staging plugin but I’m not sure the free version allows to change tables prefix to stay in the same database. I’ll post a query to the WP staging plugin support and if ok, I will rebuild a staging site, it may be useful for playing with themes and plugins without an impact to live site. I had a local instance and server with xampp but it is less flexible.

As it seems to be an issue external to Events Calendar, give me a couple of days and I’ll come back to close the topic unless other users have the same kind of issue.

Submitted for closure and due to issues already raised for 6.14.0 version, I’ll wait for the next update. I’ll also try to roll back to a previous stable version and see what happens.
