I really like the plug in and it seems to work well EXCEPT: I cant change any of the settings at all. Any setting/s that i change soon as i save the changes the menu collapses and all settings revert to the default value.

I have updated everything and turned off all the other plugins and even deleted other plugins that might be the cause. i have deleted and reinstalled events manager both from within word press and again using ftp.

I get this problem with the default wordpress theme twenty eleven and also toolbox from automatic. I’ve run out of things I know how to do.

Is it possible to change the settings by editing the plugin itself? (which is probably out of my skills range)

  • are you using any caching plugin which causes the issue? also, how about turning-on WP_DEBUG or check your php logs to see if there’s any other error. additionally, you can check browser error console to check for any javascript error.

No caching plugin, problem occurs when using only events manager.
I will try to look at WP_DEBUG or check my php logs. but i have no idea how to do that i guess a bit of research will be needed.

what should i be looking for

you should look for any php or javascript/jquery error ; also, have your tried disabling other plugins or temporarily switching to default twenty twelve theme?

I’ve heard about this problem once or twice but I don’t think the issue was ever reliably reproduced, or maybe they fixed it by checking for other conflicts.

If you’re trying this without any other plugins installed and on the default theme, then the next step would be to check your logs (ask your host). For WP_DEBUG – http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/WP_DEBUG
