Thanks for your response @jrthor2
I will need to consult with the team again on this one, including the Memcached that you previously mentioned. I will provide you with an update as soon as I know more.
@d0153 Is there any update on this? This has been an issue now for a few weeks, and my client needs to get their Events online.
Thanks

Hi @jrthor2
I’ve just received a response from the team. We are currently in the process of reviewing the script-handles and data-handles. I will keep you posted as soon as I have more information.
As for the Memcached, the way to bypass this would be to exclude our URLs from caching, as shown in our knowledgebase article. But this doesn’t work 100% of the time.

Hi @jrthor2
Thanks for patiently waiting.
I’ve created an internal ticket [TECTRIA-78] to address the script-handles and data-handles issue and I’ve included your specific use case in it to communicate it to our team.
We prioritize bugs by taking into consideration the number of users impacted as well as how the bug impacts one’s ability to run an event/sell tickets. I don’t have a specific timeline as to when this issue will be resolved, but trust that our team is aware. Our team communicates updates and bug fixes in our newsletter and via our changelog.
I’m happy to help if any other questions are coming up around this topic, otherwise I’ll go ahead and close this ticket.
Thanks again for reporting this issue and for using The Events Calendar! Have a great day.

Is there a way I can get any status updates on the ticket, or anything if you close this ticket? Seeing how long this is taking, I may also need to switch to a different calendar plugin, which I don’t want to do. I have this on a handful of other sites, also using Avada theme, and it works great.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi @jrthor2
At the moment, we don’t have an update for [TECTRIA-78]. Rest assured, once the fix is out, we will update this thread. Our team also communicates updates and bug fixes in our newsletter and via our changelog.
If you want to know the status of the internal ticket in the future, you can tag me anytime on this thread, and I will respond as soon as I can.
Hi @jrthor2
I’m currently having the same problem with my website. I am making use of the WP Evently Plugin for my events. Please let me know if you found any solution to yours so I can try the same method on my site.
Looking forward.
Nope, I have heard nothing back from anyone on this, and it’s still an issue.
@jrthor2 I think I just found the solution. My events are showing perfectly now. From home page carousels to actual event ticketing pages. I currently use Event Manager by MagePeople plugin. All I had to do was go to my permalinks section in settings and tap save changes. Nothing else. Events started showing and I didn’t have the 404 message anymore. I think you should try it too.
However, the only issue I’m having now is how to edit the carousels and event grid to make them more fitting to the theme and the branding of my website.
If that works for you, do let me know. And if you find any ways to help my issue, please share.
I tried that, and it still doesn’t work. I also updated to the latest version of The Events Calendar, 6.8.0. I created a new event for November 4, and it is not showing up on my calendar.
