I ran a little test and did see an event going out when clicking the submit button. There should be no need to wrap the button with a <p> element. You can use the wpcf7-submit class instead.
An event also went out when I clicked the email link, so to be sure that we don’t have a different issue on our hands can you please take a second look at the Google Analytics dashboard?
By the way, here is a little post about how to set up tracking for email and telephone number links – https://wpflow.com/knowledgebase/can-track-mailto-tel-links-google-analytics/

Hey Yuval,
I just checked and there haven’t been any events logged in Google Analytics in the last 2 weeks for that account. I’ll make the suggested changes and see if that helps, although sounds like there might be a different issue here.
How are you tracking to see if events are triggered? Is there a reason that they would get triggered but not sent to GA?
Thanks,
Zack
Hey Yuval,
Tried switching the contact form to the wpcf7-submit class and changed the phone and email links to an id name rather than a class name and neither has worked. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Zack
Hey Yuval, any other ideas that I could try?

@luremarketing,
Make sure that the Universal tracking box is checked.
Let me know once it is on and I will test again.

Hey Yuval,
Just went to check that and noticed that there is a checkbox for Global Site Tags, which I checked and it now seems to work! Has that always been an option or is that new?
Thanks,
Zack

It’s not that new but will change in the near future to make things less confusing.
