Evolve homepage broken

The updates to the latest versions put my homepage into evolve demo mode, by passing my static homepage. After hours of struggling while my website was down, I finally discovered that downgrading to the previous version of evolve solved the problem. in the new version, despite having a static page set, it was using the evolve homepage. There should be a setting to turn off the evolve homepage settings and use a static page. In addition, there is strange extra space below my menu.

I hope this can be corrected quickly. I need this website up asap and was not planning on spending hours on it right now.
