I’m not seeing this issue… I can view it in IE 9 live and looked at the site in browser check websites. I am using the “boxed” format. Perhaps you could adjust the width of the page to be smaller instead of the default?
Hello, Maggieymae –
Thanks for taking a look. My site is for a library and some of our older equipment is still running Windows XP and IE 8.
I ended up using the free trial period on http://www.browserstack.com to test compatibity on different browsers and different versions of IE. Turns out that it displays well on IE 9, 10 & 11. But anyone with an older computer running XP won’t be able to view it because if they are running IE the latest version they can run in 8.
Statistically, I am trying to determine how much of an issue this is. We live in a rural area with a large chunk of non-tech saavy users. And a lot of us still have older computers. I found this statistic useful from w3schools:
2015 Chrome IE Firefox Safari Opera
February 62.5 % 8.0 % 22.9 % 3.9 % 1.5 %
Thanks!
I just went to net renderer to test my evolve site and it is showing up in IE8 fairly well In IE 7he posts slider isn’t doing well.
When I try to view your site in IE8 I get an error. It could be the widget content.. .maybe the translator or the tweets, or even the form to log in to the system.
The floating translator isn’t such a good idea …you can turn that off in the plugin settings…I’ve always had issues when that is on. You can still use the translator without it. … and the sticky header might also be causing some issues.
I see major problems with IE 10 and the evolve template. My site relies heavily on the “service box” widget that is supposed to flip, etc. but instead of showing the image and flipping to words, it displays the words in reverse with no image.
