[EVOLVE] Theme help needed please

    Hi,

    I’m trying to create my first wordpress blog with the evolve lite theme.

    I’m testing this theme currently as I will probably purchase the pro version down the line.

    I like this theme, very professional and clean design, but I’m having some difficulty in certain customizations.

    Here are the problems I encountered:

    -This is my biggest concern, how to add a footer area? I want to show some links such as pages in the bottom of the homepage.

    I tried the add menu option but in the menu options it shows:

    Theme locations:
    Sticky Header Navigation
    Primary Menu

    I also tried the footer widget methhod suggested in the forum, it kind of works but not how I expected.

    Example:

    -I added a single column widget to the footer

    -Deployed Pages widget to that area.

    Now all the pages which were showing in the header horizontally are showing in the footer and also vertically which doesnot look nice.

    What I wanted to do was to add some new pages to the footer, which appear the same way as in the header,can this be done?

    -I have tried countless times to change the font size and color of the site title and tagline, but the changes doesnot take effect even when I Save&Publish.

    -How to disable google map api from contact page? I don’t want to use this feature nw.

    Currently it is showing the following error:

    “Oops! Something went wrong.
    This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.
    “

    -How to decrease the header space area where site title and tagline is located?

    -How to change the color of the page titles that are shown on the homepage?

    -How to edit the sidebar to show custom links?

    Pardon me, these may be beginner questions but i could not find the solution in the help docs.

    WordPress version = 4.6

    evolve lite version = 3.6.4

    Hi,

    It’s not possible for user here to help you with a long list of questions. They should be broken up and posted as individual questions.

    You should use footer widget area.
    You can enable it in Theme Options -> Footer -> Footer Widgets
    Find the setting -> Number of widget cols in footer
    Then you will be able to deploy a custom menu widget to this area.

    In WordPress, it’s possible to set a menu with custom links.

    I assume you are referring to the menu in header.
    Nope, it’s not possible, there is no menu in footer.

    You can add links in your custom footer.
    Theme Options -> Footer -> Custom Footer

    Thank you Denzel once again you came to the rescue.

    Do the official developers of evolve theme ever respond here? Or perhaps even read the problems of lite users?

    I think I will start testing another theme, can you recommend any based on my questions?
