Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
At first, to get the data from that Excel 365 worksheet into TablePress, you would need to find its public Sharing URL to the CSV format (CSV will be the easiest to import). This might be in the “Sharing” or “Export” settings somewhere (I haven’t used Office 365 recently, sorry). It would need to be a URL that will directly return the worksheet in the CSV format, without any user interface around it and without requiring a login. (A good way to test that is to just try opening that URL in a “private”/”incognito” browsing tab.)
Once you have that URL, test if the normal import of the URL works, on the “Import” screen of TablePress.
Making this “dynamic” could be done using the Automatic Periodic Table Import module (that page is still being worked on, sorry if it appears incomplete) that is part of the TablePress Max premium license plan.
Best wishes,
Tobias
I appreciate the reply Tobias.
I tried the “public share embed” link and it returned this error:
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
EDIT: After further examination I do believe that this is based on the Sharepoint settings in Microsoft. I tried doing a straight embed per their instructions and it was asking for a sign-in. After I get the permissions sorted out I will try it in tablepress again. I will report back here after I find a solution in case someone else comes across this issue.
Hi,
“embed” will likely not work, as that probably contains a user interface.
It must be a URL that directly returns a CSV file when opened. Here are some instructions on how this can be done in Google Sheets: https://blog.golayer.io/google-sheets/export-google-sheets-to-csv
You would need to find something similar for Excel 365.
Regards,
Tobias
