Excellent simple to use plugin

I have used Wp-Optimize for a while now. It is light weight and a great tool for optimising websites without the need for premium products.

Combine this with Jetpack Photon and Lazy Load and you have nearly all of the features of premium or more complex optimisation plugins without the technical hassle.

I recommend setting bespoke .htaccess settings alongside using this plugin However wp-optimize can do the basics like adding GZip Compression and Cache Age.

Regenerate all cache files doesnt work with every server. It requires a fair bit of memory to run, so only use this if you feel necessary.

Turn on separate mobile cache, set cache expiry to 1 month.

Add basket, checkout and account pages to the exclude list.
