Excerpt box

    I can’t find the Excerpt box for posts on the page or in the screen options. I want to add proper thumbnail images instead of having my images randomly chopped and understand I can put my own thumbnail in the excerpt box. Would you please tell me how to get the excerpt box?

    Have you tried deactivating all plugins?

    I am new to this, so no. Do you know which plug-in causes the problem? Deactivating worked. Thanks.

    If deactivating all the plugins worked, just reactivate each one individually until you find the cause. 🙂
