Excerpt link not… linking

    Hi! Great plugin but I am having some strange problems with excerpts.

    I’m adding a slider via a shortcode on a template page, in Genesis. All works well except for the “Continue Reading” link.

    All my testimonials have both a full testimonial and a custom-crafted excerpt. Under Excerpt Options, I have “Link Excerpts to Full Testimonial” checked. But I don’t get a link, just the excerpt.

    Strangely, if I UNCHECK that box, I do get the words “Continue Reading” – but they don’t link to anything! And, I get a generic “user icon” though I didn’t change anything to do with that (I don’t actually want an icon).

    Any ideas? Are there shortcode options I should try adding? Here’s my entire shortcode:

    So sorry to have bothered you, but after checking and unchecking preferences a few times, it is indeed working! That was a very odd experience though, so perhaps it’s still worth checking out…. however I seem to be OK now. Thanks.

    Hey Cosmocanuck!

    I’m glad you got things worked out!

    It sounds like you might have had your testimonials cached and so you weren’t seeing the changes immediately. After about 15 minutes, my guess is the cache cleared and then you saw your changes take effect.

    Either way, I’m happy things are working for you!
