Hi, this is just what i’m looking for! Thank you for making this great plugin! Is there any way to show excerpt as a teaser? If excerpt is not possible, can I manually add a summary or description of the post? I saw there are plugins to allow you to insert a shortcode in the middle of the post so the guest needs to pay to read more…

    Thanks!

I am not sure I follow. In the Oops text setting you can add any WooCommerce short code. You could use the product shortcode – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/#section-8

    Hi Matt,

Sorry for the confusions. I meant how to show excerpt of the post before the purchase. Right now the guest can see nothing but the Oops message. I want to show excerpt or some description of the post so the guest can decide if he should buy or not.

    Thanks!

    Hello Matt and hi zhangleji

I was about to query the same thing for the plugin when I saw your topic.

Let’s say we created few posts and assigned them with product IDs from our WooCommerce store that require users to purchase the posts first. We would then list all the posts in the blog. The only problem is, all the posts would just display the “Oops, Restricted Content” as the excerpt and not the excerpt from the individual post itself.

How to go about if we would like to display the excerpts for each post when they are listed in the blog?

    Hope you could help.

    By the way, great plugin!

    Thanks
