Hello @bsshop24,
There shouldn’t be any issue registering your Exchangerates account, could you please try to do it in the following Sandbox?
Regards,
Andrés
Hi Andres
Thanks so much for this – I’ve done as instructed and it’s worked! Hmmm …. that suggests something with my install maybe?
I’m running WP 6.5.5 with Storefront theme, and (apart from WooC) have installed WooC Paypal payments and StoreCustomizer plugins.
The shop primary currency will be Australian dollars; US$ and GB£ are secondary. Might that have a bearing?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Hello there,
I think I understand better now and I could reproduce the same error in the Sandbox. With Exchangerates, it’s not currently possible to set another default base as Australian dollars:
https://docs.openexchangerates.org/reference/set-base-currency
In that case, you could set US$ as your default currency and convert it toward Australian dollars. Then, in WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual, you can set Australian dollars only for those countries where your project needs to.
I hope it helps,
Andrés
Thank you so much Andres – that has worked.
One more question if I may – we will need to move to one of the paid exchange plans. As I understand, the paid options do allow the base currency to be changed by adding the appropriate currency to the API ( eg &base=GBP for £Sterling). Can you confirm this will work in the API section of Multicurrency before I jump and buy the plan?
Many thanks again
I’m glad to know that it worked. 🙂
Regarding your new question, as far as I know it should work and we haven’t received recent reports. However the Exchangerates team may have a better answer to this issue.
