    Hello!

I use Site Kit’s “Exclude from Google Ads” function to disable automatic ads for users logged in to the site. However, today I started to notice that ads are no longer being disabled for logged in users.

I noticed the “anchor ads” and “vignette ads”. I’ve already updated the plugin to version 1.109.0 and uninstalled and installed it again and the error persists. In order not to cause problems for users of my website, I needed to disable automatic ads for everyone.

    Best regards,
    Luan

Hi @luanlessa thanks for getting in touch. Could I confirm with you first if you are still facing this issue? If so, could you please share with me the following information:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Did you do this via a setting in Site Kit or by a separate filter?
    3. A recording of this so that I can see exactly what is happening for you with these ads.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

The site health information I sent in the form. In order not to run the risk of violating any Google policy, the automatic ads are filtered in the Site Kit itself (https://imgur.com/a/Q65fnYe). For fixed ads I use display:none.

@luanlessa I can see from the screenshot you have shared that you have the Exclude all logged in user from Ads selected. This is why logged in WordPress users will not be seeing ads on the site. Selecting this option will exclude all logged in WordPress users from seeing any ads. If you switch this option off and check once more you will see that logged in users should then see ads. Can you confirm this?

Yes, the function worked exactly like that until a few days ago. But since last week, even with the function Exclude all logged in user from Ads selected, the automatic ads continue to appear.

@luanlessa Thanks for explaining. It’s possible that there may be a conflict here. To check this, you can follow the troubleshooting steps here to see if you encounter the same while in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active. Let me know how you get on with this.

Thanks for the instruction. With the plugin I discovered that the conflict is with my theme. I tested other themes and the problem didn’t happen. Could you please help me find out where the conflict is? I haven’t made any changes to the theme recently, I have no idea where to look for the problem.

@luanlessa As this is a conflict with your theme I would suggest reaching out to the theme creators. You could also change your theme which I understand may not be an option for you.

We will certainly take a look into this also but as mentioned, as the conflict is on the theme side, it’s best discussed with the theme creators to find a solution. Let us know here if you have any feedback from the theme side.
