When making a new export, is there a simple way to skip all inactive plugins? Just trying to keep the backup file size as small as possible cz I don’t need ’em. Lmk if that’s doable!

    Hi there 👋

Thanks for the question! In the free All-in-One WP Migration plugin, the Advanced Options on the Export screen only let you toggle plugins as a whole – *Exclude plugins*. There isn’t a built-in “skip inactive plugins only” checkbox in the free version.

That specific option (*Do not export inactive plugins*) ships with some of our premium extensions, so if it’s important to you, that’s where you’d find it: https://servmask.com/products/all-in-one-wp-migration-pro

A couple of free workarounds in the meantime:
    – Just deactivate and delete the plugins you truly don’t need before exporting – WordPress keeps the active ones untouched.
    – Or, if you want them on disk but out of the backup, you can temporarily move the inactive plugin folders out of wp-content/plugins/ before running the export, then move them back.

    Hope that helps!
