    Hey @aaron13100,
thank you very mich for this plugin! It does me a great favor and I am looking forward to using it in production! However I am experiencing a small issue with the [abj404_solution_page_suggestions]:

On my site there are some “hidden” pages, which the user may not reach by clicking somewhere. Also pages are showing up on top, which are not likely to be the desired pages (e.g. data privacy agreement or a custom error page). Is it possible to exclude pages from the plugins search? Or is there a way to reduce the probability of a specific page?

I think my problem is similar to this, but for single post/pages: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/suggestion-option-for-hide-catalogue-visibility/

    Thanks in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey Andre.

Currently there’s no “exclude” list for pages. There’s the “Recognized Post Types” setting …

What do you mean by “hidden” or how do we distinguish a hidden page from a normal one?

    thanks

    Hey Aaron,

actually, “hidden” just means that you can’t find the page by browsing around. So, no links, not indexable. You need to know the direct link to find it.

I have a feeling, that creating a new post type is a little too much for my purpose. Is there really no way of excluding some pages?

    Thanks
    André

I’ll add a feature to exclude certain pages but I don’t know when I’ll get to it.

Please try version 2.23.0. The option is at the end of the advanced options on the options page.

I just installed the plugin and I think the file is missing. Did you include the ajax/exclude_pages_ajax.js in your update 🙂 ?

    Hello Aaron,

I tried today, but there seems to be a problem. When I add a page and hit the “Save Settings”-button at the page bottom, I get a green success-message containing the following:
    “Task failed successfully.”

I also can’t enable the “Debug logging: “-checkbox. Here is the log which appears when I follow the link:

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

“Task failed successfully” is a “nonce” issue. Did you try reloading the page and trying again?

    Thread Starter AndreLung

    (@andrelung)

Yes, I tried. It does not save the selected pages. Also, dev tools is not giving me any error.

That worked perfectly! Thank you very much!
